How to check for Voice-Mail

 

 

When your extension is busy, cannot be reached or you simply choose not to take a call, callers have the option to leave a voice message on your extension. These messages are stored in chronological order and can be accessed from your desk phone, soft phone, smartphone or directly from 3CX MyPhone.

How to check for Voice-mail

3CX Phone System supports a range of SIP based IP phones. This guide will walk you through checking your voice-mail using Cisco, Grandstream, Polycom and Yealink phones. You can also check your voice-mail from your smartphone, 3CXPhone for Windows or from 3CX MyPhone. This is also explained in this section.

Cisco

The following information illustrates how you can check your voice-mail using a Cisco phone.

  • Pick up your handset and press the Cisco voicemail button button followed by entering your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press the “#” button to access, save, check or delete your voicemail messages.
  • Use phone speaker by pressing the Cisco voicemail buttonbutton followed by entering your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press the “#” button to access, save, check or delete your voice-mail messages.

Grandstream

The following information illustrates how you can check your voice-mail using a Grandstream GXP phone.

  • Pick up your handset and press the Grandstream voicemail button button followed by entering your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press the “#” button to access, save, check or delete your voicemail messages.
  • Use phone speaker by pressing  Grandstream voicemail button button followed by entering your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press the “#” button to access, save, check or delete your voice-mail messages.

Polycom

The following information illustrates how you can check your voice-mail using a Polycom SoundPoint IP 320-331, 450-670 phone.

  • Pick up your handset and press “Menu” button, select Features > Messages > Message Center > Connect. At this point you will be prompted to enter your personal identification number (which is your extension’s PIN number) and then press the “#” button to access, save, check or delete your voicemail messages
  • Use speaker by pressing “Menu” button, select Features > Messages > Message Center > Connect. At this point you will be prompted to enter your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press the “#” button to access, save, check or delete your voicemail messages

Alternatively if using Polycom SoundStation IP 6000 and 7000 phones:

  • Press the “Menu” button, and then select Features>Messages>Message Center. At this point you will be prompted to enter your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press the “#” button to access, save, check or delete your voice-mail messages

 Yealink

The following information illustrates how you can check your voice-mail using a Yealink IP phone.

  • Pick up your handset and press the “Message” button followed by entering your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press the “#” button to access, save, check or delete your voice-mail messages.
  • Use phone speaker by pressing “Message” button followed by entering your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press then press the “#” button to access, save, check or delete your voicemail messages.

3CXPhone for Android

The following information illustrates how you can check your voice mail using 3CXPhone for Android.

  • Using the dial pad, dial 999. The voicemail system will then request your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press the “#” soft key to access, save, check or delete your voicemail messages.

3CXPhone for iPhone

The following information illustrates how you can check your voice mail using 3CXPhone for iPhone.

  • Using the dial pad, dial 999. The voicemail system will then request your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press the “#” soft key to access, save, check or delete your voicemail messages.

3CXPhone for Windows

The following information illustrates how you can check your voice-mail using 3CXPhone for Windows.

  • Click the 3CXPhone voicemail soft key, located under the “Transfer” button followed by entering your personal identification number (which is your extensions PIN number) and then press the “#” button to access, save, check or delete your voice-mail messages.

3CX MyPhone

The following information illustrates how you can check your voice-mail directly from 3CX MyPhone.

From 3CX MyPhone, navigate to the voicemail tab. All the voice-mail received on that extension is saved in chronological order and each recording can be played from your phone or directly from MyPhone. The caller who left the voice-mail can also be called back and each message can be deleted if desired.
